Foods that help you sleep

At night our brain begins to secrete melatonin, known as the sleep molecule. The production of melatonin depends on sunlight and artificial light, to be able to be synthesized you need tryptophan, which is transformed into serotonin and then into melatonin, if the production of melatonin is decreased, sleep disorders appear.

Increasing the intake of foods rich in tryptophan and melatonin can help you to sleep better and as a result improve your mood and reduce anxiety.

• Nuts and almonds

• Sunflower and pumpkin seeds

• Banana

• Blue Fish

• Legumes

• Cherries, strawberry, blueberries, pineapple

• Oatmeal, brown rice

• Tomato
