Fast and Healthy Food

Surely it has happened to you when you get home starving tired or unwilling to cook and you eat the first thing you find in the fridge, which in many occasions is not usually a healthy option. Today I will tell you some tricks to avoid “junk” meals.

Take a little time once or twice a week and this will save you time later.

 Cook some grains, rice, quinoa, brown pasta for several days and store it in the refrigerator in airtight containers (they are good for about 3 days).

 Cut several vegetables, carrots, cucumbers, peppers, courgette and they will be handy later to use them in your salads.

 When you cook stew, curry, dall, etc. prepare for several dishes and freeze them, then you just have to take it out of the freezer and heat it in a pot.

 Cook a variety of vegetables, peppers, eggplant, mushrooms, courgette, you can make a pisto for example, in quantity and freeze several servings and then add it to your rice, quinoa. Here is my recipe for pisto.

 Prepare homemade hamburgers and freeze them, you only have to take them out of the freezer and cook them in the pan or in the oven when you want to eat.

 Prepare a homemade tomato sauce and freeze it to have it ready to add to your pasta.

 Always have some sourdough bread cut into slices in the freezer for occasions when you fancy a sandwich or toast, you always have healthy bread at home, whether it’s a hurry breakfast or a lunch with a bit of hummus, it takes you out of a hurry.

 You can also prepare pizza dough or get organic once and have it in the freezer for the days that you fancy giving yourself a treat.

 Prepare homemade hummus to put on your toast or sandwiches. Here are some recipes.

 Oatmeal and fruit bars, they are well preserved and perfect if you do not have time to prepare breakfast and you have to leave home quickly. On my healthy snacks e-Book there is a oatmeal and banana bars recipe.
